In this Friday Fireside, we'll hear the first-hand experiences of Alison Halpin on leading the people and culture function for the national government agency for the sports industry.
Alison is the Deputy General Manager of People and Culture at the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), the Australian Government agency responsible for supporting and investing in sport. The ASC includes Sport Australia — responsible for driving the broader sport sector participation and industry growth, and the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) — leading Australia's high-performance sport system.
Alison leads a diverse range of Human Resources services to support ASC’s strategic goals, which are ultimately focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Australians through sport. The Oranges Toolkit has partnered with the ASC since 2018 to support wellbeing and resilience of athletes, coaches and staff across all kinds of sports, from grassroots right up to the pinnacle of elite international competition.
In this Friday Fireside, Alison and Tegan will explore the challenges, insights and top tips on creating wellbeing within the government agency behind two of Australia’s peak sporting bodies.
