Nicole Rogerson

CEO

Nicole Rogerson is an experienced executive with 20 years’ in senior leadership roles in both the business and not-for-profit sectors. She has a deep understanding of community, leadership, business, communications, and government relations. Prior to joining the Oranges Toolkit, Nicole worked in the disability sector and was the founding director and CEO of Autism Awareness Australia. Nicole Rogerson is one of the nation’s leading spokespersons for the awareness and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

A passionate disability advocate and social policy campaigner, she is a frequent public speaker on these issues and frequently sits on Government advisory boards in the areas of disability and mental health. She is also a non-executive director of the Houghton Clinic at the Brain and Mind Centre at Sydney University.

Tegan Davies

General Manager & Head of Wellbeing

Tegan Davies leads the design and delivery of The Oranges Toolkit's seriously refreshing workplace wellbeing programs. She is an experienced designer, presenter and facilitator of wellbeing programs, leadership and coaching. Prior to joining Oranges Toolkit, for over a decade, Tegan had a number of leadership roles at childhood cancer charity and the birthplace of the Oranges Toolkit, Camp Quality, including leading the Learning & Development & Culture function nationally.

Tegan is a Board member of Action for Happiness and a qualified business coach. She holds qualifications in Human Resource Management, a Diploma in Positive Psychology, is an accredited Strengths Profile practitioner, as well as various training and business certifications.

James Mathison

Lead Facilitator

James Mathison is The Oranges Toolkit’s Lead Facilitator. With over 20 years working as a presenter, broadcaster and facilitator, James has a wealth of experience at connecting with audiences in both live and virtual environments. Passionate about the mind-body connection, James has taught and led meditation workshops with mindfulness start-up Meditation HQ to help people build capacity across all areas of their life. His work focuses on creating a truly collaborative training environment where participants are empowered to share their lived experiences whilst actively learning from the perspectives of those around them. A playful yet deeply intuitive facilitator, James is obsessed with helping clients understand the science of wellbeing, at the same time offering them simple, practical tools that can be implemented into their workplace and daily life.

Tegan Thorpe

Head of Marketing, Media & Communications

Meet Tegan, the Head of Marketing, Media, and Communications for The Oranges Toolkit, a creative marketing professional with a passion for creating winning brand and marketing strategies.

Tegan has a knack for data analysis and a deep understanding of how to leverage it to inform effective marketing strategies. Her creative approach to marketing and her ability to think outside the box, make her an invaluable asset to the Oranges Toolkit. Tegan's well-rounded skill set includes an extensive artistic and commercial photography career and a keen eye for visual storytelling, which she often incorporates into her marketing campaigns. With a degree in Advertising, a Diploma in Social Sciences, and over a decade of experience in the industry including being a current Masters student, Tegan is a seasoned expert in her field.

Reading, long baths, and walking her lovely dog Lemon along the Glebe foreshore.

Define your goals and objectives: Before developing a wellbeing strategy, it is important to have a clear understanding of your goals and objectives. What do you hope to achieve with your wellbeing strategy? Do you want to reduce absenteeism, increase productivity, or improve employee engagement? Having a clear understanding of your goals will help you to develop a strategy that is aligned with your objectives.

Ali Palmer

Facilitator

Ali Palmer is The Oranges Toolkit’s effervescent Facilitator. Following 30 years’ experience as an educator and leader, Ali moved into the positive psychology, neuroscience and wellbeing sector as a senior consultant with The Langley Group, founded her own consulting firm The Strengths Space, and joined The Oranges Toolkit in 2020. Her work is always grounded in positive psychology, neuroscience and strengths-based approaches and she is an experienced designer of wellbeing training content and programs. An engaging facilitator, Ali is adept at synthesising the science and modelling its application in fun, interactive and energising ways.

Ali was previously engaged by Independent Schools Queensland as a lead consultant on a four-year staff wellbeing project which led to transformational change in over 30 schools. She has designed online staff wellbeing modules for Queensland's Department of Education, and delivered training and presentations supporting numerous wellbeing programs in various organisations and industries across Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Honours) from the University of Exeter, a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, a Certificate in the Foundations of NeuroLeadership, is a certified practitioner of Strengths Profile and accredited trainer in Circle Solutions.

Nicole Simonsen

Client Services Coordinator

Nicole is new to the realm of Wellbeing. Prior to joining The Oranges Toolkit, she has over a decade of experience in the retail industry in sales, contracts administration and as a junior buyer. Nicole also has 16 years of experience in high performance training and management as a professional football player with caps for Australia, and five years of playing in the A League for Western Sydney Wanderers and Newcastle Jets.

Favourite Self-care Strategy:

Taking her two dogs for a walk.

Lead by example to implement healthy strategies in the workplace to maximise personal and team performance.

Outside of work:

Mary Johnson

Associate (Admin and Tech Support)

Mary has a diverse corporate background and current specialisation in Corporate Wellness Programs, focusing on emotional regulation and resilience, change management, mindfulness and stress management, movement programs through yoga. Mary spent 5 years working for a nonprofit managing digital communications and fundraising and prior to that, was in technology based in the Silicon Valley for 15 years in various partner and corporate sales development roles.

Currently work as a yoga therapist and mindfulness and meditation coach focused on working with individuals and businesses with a focus on stress management, mind/body repatterning to help one achieve their full potential.

Favourite self-care strategy:

A daily meditation/mindfulness, movement and gratitude practice.

Key advice for clients developing wellbeing strategies:

Set a clear intention. Start small at first and use this intention to guide you to support your heartfelt mission or purpose.

Mary will be doing yoga!

Anna Webb

Associate Facilitator

Anna is a facilitator, coach and learning consultant with more than 25 years of professional experience. Her strength as a facilitator lies in her ability to apply extensive knowledge of positive psychology and emotional intelligence to the art and science of adult learning. Anna has held leadership roles at both Cisco Systems and Optus Communications in Australia and in the USA. Anna has a warm, engaging and collaborative style with a focus on results and behaviour change.

Anna focuses on introducing workplace initiatives to enable people to flourish. Anna’s energy is focused on increasing people’s wellbeing as this creates a positive environment which has positive ripples effects on all areas of business.

Ensure it is practical and start small. All small actions have a larger combined positive impact. Be kind to yourself and don’t compare yourself with others. Comparison is the thief of joy.

Anna enjoys spending time with family, friends, reading a book, listening to podcasts and being at the beach at any time of year.

John Johnson

Associate (IT Consultant)

John specialises in user experiences for websites and online applications and has 20 years experience in graphic and web design. His design experience spans print and packaging to online brand immersion techniques and intrinsic branding solutions for software and Internet companies.

Shining moments include working with Kimpton Hotels, eBay and Pacific, Gas & Electric, Quokka Sports, Fox Sports and more. John holds a degree in Graphic Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and post-graduate MultiMedia studies at San Francisco State University. He serves as an Advisor and Guest Lecturer to the Board of Design and Industry Department at San Francisco State University. John has 10 years experience in the Wellness and Health field as a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT).

Gina Brooks

Associate Facilitator

For over 25 years, Gina has been helping businesses maximise the potential of their people by delivering customised learning solutions that provide sustainable performance improvements.

Gina's career history comprises of numerous positions within large corporate organisations and small-medium businesses in both the public and private sectors. Her experience has provided her an in-depth knowledge of human and organisational behaviour and psychology making her an expert in providing emotional wellness programs in Australia. Gina is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders and was recently listed as one of the top two Learning and Development professionals in Australia by the Australian Institute of Training and Development. She has qualifications in Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Positive Psychology and Training & Assessment.

Favourite self-care strategy:

Mindfulness walk in nature. 90 second dance breaks and gratitude jars are also popular in Gina's household.

Prioritising these strategies proactively into daily habits has a huge positive impact. Trust the science and do the actions and your personal and professional lives will improve.

Beck Melville

Associate Facilitator

Beck is a wellbeing and resilience speaker, coach, trainer and leadership consultant with 25 years of global and local corporate experience, including executive roles in finance, leadership development, telecommunications and not-for-profit organisations. Beck holds a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne, is an undergraduate in Commerce and is accredited in world-class emotional intelligence and strengths-based diagnostics.

Spending time in nature.

Inspire employees to develop strengths to unlock their full potential.

Outside of work:

Beck loves cooking for people, travelling to places she's never been before and climbing mountains.

Jodi Livesley

Associate Facilitator

Jodi has more than 20 years experience in developing people and communities, primarily working state and local government and community care prior to becoming an Oranges Toolkit facilitator. Jodi's recent experience includes working in the Aged Care Sector, where her focus was building capacity and business development.

In 2017, Jodi engaged The Oranges Toolkit to deliver wellbeing programs for community care organisations and was so inspired she undertook study in positive psychology to qualify as a facilitator of what she sees as a life changing program. Jodi also holds a Bachelor of Social Science from UWS and via scholarship to Dalhousie University (Canada) and a certificate in Organisation and Executive Coaching from the Institute of Executive Leadership and Coaching.

Favourite self-care strategy:

The breathing triangle: Breathe in for a count of 4, hold the breath for a count of 4 and breathe out for a count of 4. This technique moves focus onto the breath, away from the situation which is causing stress or discomfort, oxygenates the blood and calms the physical and emotional state.

Key advice for clients developing wellbeing strategies:

We can all increase our wellbeing by making conscious choices to do so. Having implementable tools to use allows us to practice and create new habits by focusing on increasing our experiences of positive emotions each and every day. Start with small, easy to do changes, and connect to things which have meaning to you. A smart start can have big impact- chose one thing at a time and build on it.

Outside of work:

Jodi is likely to be in a DIY frenzy at home or at the beach with her kids.

Meet our board

Our social enterprise is governed by an experienced board of directors. Their role is to ensure we deliver on our vision and operate aligned to our values. The accomplished board, chaired by Deborah Thomas, guides our social enterprise towards our purpose of building wellbeing, emotional and mental agility in workforces communities while returning profits to Camp Quality to support kids facing cancer.

Deborah Thomas

Chairperson

Deborah is an experienced executive and board director. She is one of only a handful of women to have run an ASX200 company. As Managing Director and CEO of Ardent Leisure Group she was responsible for the performance of the Australian and US based multi-site entertainment company. Prior to this role, Deborah was a senior publishing executive and highly respected Editor-in-Chief of the country's biggest selling magazine, The Australian Women's Weekly, for nine years. Deborah has proven skills and experience in understanding customers, creating new products and revenue streams, building brands and driving organisational change in sectors impacted by technological and digital disruption. A passionate advocate for diversity, with a strong track record of supporting and mentoring young women, Deborah has sat on a number of NFP boards as well as government entities, including three years as Deputy Chair of the National Library of Australia Council. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women.

David Morris

Board Member

David is an accomplished lawyer with over 30 years of experience in advising clients across a wide variety of sectors on a range of corporate and commercial law issues. He is the Head of the Corporate practice of KPMG Law Australia, jointly leads the M&A practice of the global legal business of KPMG and is a member of the Global Leadership Group of KPMG’s global legal business. David brings a wealth of relevant legal knowledge to the board, particularly in the areas of corporate and commercial law and corporate governance. He holds an LLB and a BEc (Accounting Major) at Sydney University and has completed the Harvard Business School Leadership Program. David is also a long-standing Board Member of Camp Quality.

Damon Fealy

Board Member

Damon Fealy is an experienced technology consultant and executive, early-stage investor and holds executive and non-executive director roles on a number of boards. He specialises in unlocking how technology in organisations can be leveraged to achieve return, advantage, efficiency and outcomes. He has created and helped others start, build and exit businesses and enjoys working with not-for-profits and other organisations such as Camp Quality and Queensland Ballet. His qualifications include a Bachelor of IT, Graduate Diploma of Music Technology, Digital Audio Technology, Production and Engineering, Australian Institute of Company Directors course. He holds numerous other certifications and is an Industry Fellow of Griffith University. Damon brings an entrepreneurial and tech-literate perspective to the board, with his recent work mostly focused on investment, capital raising, business/investment analysis and cybersecurity.

Kim Jacobs

Board Member

A professional non-executive director of both public band private companies and not for profits. Founder, Managing Director and then Chairman of Inteq Limited which he established in 1988 until it was sold in 2018. Inteq provided corporate, strategic and financial advisory services to medium and smaller corporates, divisions of major corporations and private family companies. Extensive experience in investment banking, strategic advice and planning, financial management, M&A, IPO's, project finance, commercial development of early stage companies, and corporate governance. Has held a number of private and public company directorships as well as extensive involvement on the boards of community organisations.
